OBJECTIVES

• • Molecular genetics has many applications in diagnostics and it is considered an integral part of many diagnostic laboratories worldwide.

• • This training will provide an apportunity for participants to learn basic techniques related to DNA and PCR and their applications in molecular diagnostics

• • This training will prepare the participants for the practical aspects of the laboratory extraction of DNA, PCR amplification and Genotyping , using the electrophoresis gel method.
